Research

First i had to do some research, analysing the different layouts of the posters and the colour schemes, typography, images used etc.

Brainstorm

Next is my brainstorm where i thought about what i am going to use in the design, such as using classic movie characters such as Charlie Chaplin for the posters images.

Moving onto mood boards i went onto society six, where i gathered a variety of old fashioned and retro styled designs that appealed to me and that could help inspire my poster.

Sketches/Drawings

Going on to actually start creating my design i decided to quickly sketch a few thumbnails,just to get myself thinking about different ideas. I then took the thumbnails and drawn out four design in more detail.

Development

For the development i took my two designs which i drew, and developed them both further by trying out different layouts and adding more detail. Deciding that the second design was my favourite out of the two, i wanted to develop the image more to give it more detail. 

Initial Designs

When doing the initial designs i decided to keep the same design layout as i was happy with how it looked. So instead i just looked at different colour schemes and backgrounds that i could potentially use for my final design.
